As a pre-qualified Buyer, your $395 CAD registration fee includes Vancouver/Whistler return transportation; access to the GBM showcase; and all meals and networking receptions during the event.
The last live Global Buyers Mission (GBM) held in 2023 welcomed almost 800 delegates to this invitation-only event, designed to bring together international buyers of wood and value-added wood products, with Canadian manufacturers. The 2024 event is scheduled for Thursday, September 5th to Saturday, September 7th and is set once again in spectacular Whistler Village, British Columbia. This International Event continues to be a great success for buyers and suppliers alike, we are expecting the incremental sales for Canadian wood products manufacturers to surpass $34,000,000 the following year.
You will have the opportunity of meeting with Canadian manufacturers of products that include engineered wood products; mass & heavy timber; remanufactured items and components; pre-fabricated housing and structures; log / post & beam / timber frame homes and structures; millwork & finished building products; and specialty lumber including Western Red Cedar – all showcased in a comfortable, networking environment.

Transportation — Your registration fee includes return bus transfer from either downtown Vancouver (from the Sutton Place Hotel for group buses) or the Vancouver International Airport, upon request. Please see more transportation information below.
Meals and Receptions — Registration also includes a welcome reception at the Roundhouse Lodge on the peak of Whistler Mountain, a hot breakfast buffet and lunch on the show floor on Friday, the Friday evening dinner reception at the Squamish Lil’Wat Cultural Centre, and breakfast-to-go in the Whistler Conference Centre Saturday morning.

Transportation to Whistler Village is included in the Buyer fees. The Promo Code for Skylynx is available in the confirmation email.
For shuttle bus, we recommend booking tickets online with Skylynx for service from YVR to Whistler or from Downtown Vancouver to Whistler. It is recommended to book a direct bus (Skylynx Express) as you can select which hotel you would like to be dropped off at.
If you can’t book the direct bus, please specify which hotel you need to be dropped off at in the comments box at check out (i.e. “Drop off at Delta Hotel for the GBM”) so that Skylynx can accommodate this. Skylynx typically doesn’t do hotel drop offs with these big buses but are making an exception for the GBM.
The meeting place to catch the shuttle is:
Vancouver Airport (YVR): Meet at the YVR Skylynx Kiosk at the International Arrivals Area adjacent to the escalators.
Downtown Vancouver: Meet on Melville Street outside of Hyatt Regency Hotel near Burrard Metro Station
Another option for transportation to Whistler is to join us on our free charter bus service from the Richmond Mariott and The Sutton Place on the morning of September 5th with a short tour on the way to Whistler. Please register at gbm@bcwood.com.
